Shoot to Kill – Official League Rulebook

Where legends rise, shots drop, and loyalty means everything.

1. League Overview

Shoot to Kill is NYC's most dynamic 12-week pool league—where every round is a shot at glory, and every bar is a battleground.
With three stacked prize tracks, multiple venues, branded teams, tastings, raffles, and one epic season-end event: the Epic Shots Championship & Spirits Fest—this league turns pool into performance and nightlife into legacy.

2. Game Format: "Shoot to Kill"

Each player takes one shot per turn to legally make a ball.
A miss, scratch, or foul results in a strike.
Three strikes = elimination.
The last player standing wins the round and takes the pot.
Multiple rounds may be played each night.

Fouls & Scratches:

Cue ball off the table = strike
Failure to hit any object ball = strike
No rail after contact (cue ball or object ball must hit a rail) = strike
Cue ball pocketed = strike
Any unsportsmanlike conduct = automatic elimination for the night

3. Handicaps: Know Your Rank

In this league, your rep matters—and so does your skill level. Here's how many strikes you get before elimination:

Rookie Reaper – 5 strikes

(New to the game? You're here to learn and level up.)

Smooth Shooter – 4 strikes

(You've got a feel for the table and a shot worth watching.)

Street Shark – 3 strikes

(The league standard. You know what you're doing. Now prove it.)

Deadeye – 2 strikes

(Mistakes aren't an option. Precision is your only friend.)

Ghost Tier – 3 strikes + challenge rule

(Pros play one-handed or bank every shot. If you're this good, show us.)

4. Entry Fees & Payouts

Non-members pay $25 per round
League members pay only $20 per round
20% of the pot goes to the game runner
Winners take home the cash prize after each round—real cash every time

5. League Membership – $75 / Season (Mandatory)

Includes:

Discounted round entry ($20)
Official team shirt (bar + sponsor)
Free entry to Epic Shots Championship & Spirits Fest
Eligibility for all championships
Monthly spirit tastings
Raffle entries (based on points)
Referral rewards
Player dashboard + profile
Leaderboard access + feature content

6. Teams, Bars, & Player Assignment

Players choose a home bar when joining—this becomes their team, sponsored by a spirit brand
Players may play at any bar, any week
Players always represent their home team
All player wins and points contribute to team totals

Team Roster Rules:

Max of 20 eligible players per team
If one team has fewer eligible players than 20, both teams must compete with equal numbers
Players must be officially assigned to a team by Week 6 of the season

7. Individual Championship – $10,000 Prize

Top 40 players (by rounds won) qualify to compete in the Epic Shots Championship for a $10,000 individual prize

Eligibility Requirements:

League member
6+ rounds played at home bar
4+ rounds played at other participating bars
Verified check-ins + RSVPs

8. Team Championship – $10,000 Prize

The two teams with the most total individual player wins will face off during the Epic Shots Championship & Spirits Fest

Rules:

Teams compete with up to 20 players
If one team has fewer than 20 eligible players, both teams compete with equal numbers
Competitive team-style version of Shoot to Kill
Each individual player represents their team
Winning team earns $10,000 cash

9. Road Challenge – Points System & "League Ambassadors" ($2,000 Prize)

The Road Challenge rewards the team whose players show up the most, travel the farthest, and hustle the hardest.

How Players Earn Points (for Team Score):

Action	Points Awarded
RSVP + Check-In (per venue)	1 pt
Playing 1 Round at Home	1 pt
Playing 2+ Rounds at Home (same night)	1.5 pts per round
Playing First Round Away (per venue)	2 pts
Additional Away Rounds (same night)	1 pt each
Winning an Away Round (Takeover Bonus)	3 pts

Home Balance Rule:

To count away points, players must play at least as many home rounds as away rounds.

10. Raffle System – Individual Rewards

Every point earned = 1 entry into monthly raffles
More points = more chances to win

Prizes May Include:

Cue sticks + gear

VIP perks at the Epic Shots Championship

11. Check-Ins & RSVPs

To receive points and qualify for prizes:

RSVP to your venue before showing up (via the site)
Check in upon arrival to receive your points

RSVP + check-in earns 1 point and unlocks eligibility for round scoring and raffles.

12. Referral Program

Earn $10 per player you refer to the league
No limit
Referral MVP wins exclusive prizes + league recognition

13. Weekly Awards

Shot of the Night – Best pool play
Spirit Shot of the Night – Best tagged moment on social
Referral MVP
Travel MVP
Territory Takeover – Best away game win

14. Code of Conduct

This league runs on respect, integrity, and real fun.
Don't be the reason we have to make more rules.
Talk slick, play clean, tip your bartenders, and don't ghost your team.

The Finale Event:

$10K Individual Championship (Top 40 Players)
$10K Team Championship (Top 2 Teams)
$2K Road Challenge Winner Announced

16. Pathfinder Status – League-Wide Explorer Recognition

Reach Pathfinder status.

Only a few will earn it.
But everyone will know their name.

To Qualify as a Pathfinder:

RSVP, check in, and play at every official league venue during the season
Be a registered league member
Meet home/away game minimums
